Thomas Paul Whalan started writing songs when his best mate at school started writing with his brother and invited him to come along for a jam. His early song writing attempts were heavily influenced by Blues and Rock 'n' Roll but as he matured it became more folk and pop based. After studying music for three years at TAFE he started gigging around his home town of Wollongong.
