Consisting of six members, Thrivaldi combines melodic, progressive and symphonic power metal with modern song writing. Our sound is a fusion of futuristic sonic elements with neo-baroque techniques, although our influences also stretch to Folk and Doom. Named after the nine headed Norse frost giant, Thrivaldi can be cataclysmic, ambient, melodic or fast paced, but always executed with precision. Complex harmonised melodies and clean soaring vocals set Thrivaldi apart from the typical trends in metal. Past gigs have included UNSW Roundhouse, Newtown RSL and multiple events at Manly Fishos). A 5 track EP has been recorded (in February 2012) and will be released shortly. In the meantime enjoy our previously recorded songs here.
