Dave and Lachy were manning a small satellite orbiting earth, when they started making noise with the measuring instruments in-between spy missions. They found Amelia on a lifepod floating through space, she'd been jettisoned from her mission to Mars for space madness. Eventually they all got instruments and started playing them, sometimes together. Since then ‘Through a Glass Darkly’ have continued to evolve through many genres - high-intensity folk rock, 70s stadium rock, classic blues, white-noise electronica, goat symphonies... Dave brings awkward screeching and shoddy guitar work to the bargain, Lachy brings 'that hat' and Amelia’s drumming is certainly playing the drums with sticks. TAGD’s live shows are well known for their intensity, explosive sound, and ability to disarm nuclear bombs discreetly and at an excellent price.
