Tidal Peak is a dreampop/shoegaze recording project started in 2015 by Kyle Lacko, who throughout the decade has remained the sole constant member and primary architect of the project's sound. Tidal Peak has released one album and a handful of EPs and singles, with the last release being 2020's "Shimmer". The project has also functioned as a live band from time to time, sporadically playing gigs in and around venues in Toowoomba and Brisbane and supporting artists such as Lucy Korts, Mode Atlanta and Ipswich's own Coalfalls. Throughout the band's history Tidal Peak has traversed several genres, such as DIY dreampop, shoegaze, synthpop and progressive pop, all bound together in meticulous studio experimentation, hazy atmospherics and ethereal underwater artwork.
