Raised in the rural landscape of central Victoria, Tilly Rose is establishing herself as an exciting artist to watch in the Australian Country Music Scene. Tilly’s passion for music was cultivated at an early age through her love of dance. Her love for country music, however, saw Tilly shift her musical aspirations to singing and she reached out to Australian Country singer Kaitlyn Thomas to be her vocal coach and mentor. A natural storyteller, Tilly penned her fist song at just 11 years of age. With introspective lyrics, her songwriting delves into shared experiences, reflecting on the universal struggle of friendship, heartbreak, loss and the hurtful way of others. Adding catchy melodies and lyrical hooks, her music conveys the vulnerability of her personal stories into universal anthems. Her sound blends inspiration from contemporary country artists such as Ella Langley, Megan Moroney and Morgan Evans with her own unique style. Two years on from her debut single release, Backup Dancers, Tilly has acquired an impressive list of accolades and garnered industry attention with interviews and features on multiple community radio stations, both locally and internationally. Her follow-up single Kindred Spirits, co-written with her mentor, earned the title of PULSE FM ‘Australian Artist New Release of the Week’ and saw her showcased as ‘Young Artist of the Month’ on UGFM Radio Murrindindi. Whilst Radiodowntown Canada likened her to a young Taylor Swift, after the release of her third single Over By The Summer – a fun, upbeat country rock tune that captures the excitement of a new relationship as she dismissed the judgement and doubt of young love. In 2024, Tilly competed in and won the Kilmore Australian National Busking Championship Regional. A performance on FanZone and winning a 2026 ICMA - Indie Country Music Australia Award at this years Tamworth Country Music Festival is another healthy nod to the future of this rising talent. A love for a captive audience, sees Tilly shine on stage and she is fast becoming a regular live performer at regional country shows, events and festivals, and has already shared the stage alongside notable female powerhouses in the Australian Country music scene – Taylor Moss, Darlinghurst, Jade Gibson, Kaitlyn Thomas and Amber Lawrence. With guidance and mentoring from her producer, Paul Ray, Tilly is keen to continue to learn and develop her craft and sound, building amazing relationships and connections within the Australian Country music scene and beyond, deepening her love for the genre and continuing to write her own stories. Her latest release, A Little Less, takes the next step in her songwriting, collaborating with Jay Santilli. It is a beautiful ballad, written from the depths of betrayal. It takes you on an emotional journey of moving on and finding yourself. The song was composed, produced and recorded at the Paul Ray Music Group, Pheasant Creek studio. Tilly Rose’s passion for music is evident, and her hard work, trust and instinct to take her music to places most others her age dream of is inspiring! At such a young age, this hardworking creative, already has an impressive portfolio, and she is only just getting started!
