Little Souls is the debut release for singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Tim Downey. The record is a richly layered and textured affair with broody melodies popping up everywhere. Tim played many of the instruments himself. The songs delve into darkness and light dealing in the divine, dreams, fear, seasons, beauty, time, fine print and one way streets. Recording began in 2005 at The Shed Recording Studio with producer John Castle at the desk. July 2006 sees the release of Little Souls. Last year, Tim participated in the FReeZACentral Mentorship Program. He was paired with Craig Jackson from the band Gersey and had the privilege of performing with him on a few occasions. The live show features Luke Richardson on double bass and Pete Spark on drumkit. Tim plays guitar and sings his little heart out. They perform as Tim Downey & the Little Souls.
