Singer? Songwriter? Guitarist? Tim McMullen shows he can be any and all three at once with his first demo album, Resonance: The Acoustic Sessions. A genuine family man, the public of Tim’s hometown of Rockhampton were first witness to his exceptional musical talents when he performed a tribute at his mother’s 40th birthday party bringing the crowd, especially the guest of honour, to joyful tears. From this watershed moment he has spread his wings and swiftly developed a loyal following, a catalogue of his own songs, and now his debut demo album. While his influences vary widely from Foo Fighters to Springsteen to Australian Crawl, he maintains a unique sound with his soulful voice floating atop of his accomplished guitar strums. Perhaps his meaningful lyrics are the most striking feature of his work and the title Resonance is apt. As you soak in the ambience of the McMullen sound, the words of this young man with an older soul reverberate with significant moments from your own life.
