Tim is an Australian singer/songwriter and guitarist. His actual name is Timo (he came to Australia as a 3 year old from Finland) and as long as he can remember he has had to tell everyone he meets that his name is Tim with an "o". When it came to launching his solo project (he has played in bands for years) he decided that Tim Withano would be an appropriate stage name :). Tim is an award winning artist and has had Top 10 success on the country charts in Australia. However, his music also covers other genres including folk/rock, folk/pop, Americana, roots and easy listening. He still has a love of country music and that influence can be heard in some songs. Tim is very much a DIY guy who produces all of his songs and videos in his home studio. He is also a renowned luthier with many well-known guitarists playing his instruments. Needless to say, Tim built the guitars that he used during all of his recordings. Over the past few years, he has played the main role in a theatre production which featured the music of James Taylor and Carole King. However, it his love of original music that really drives him.
