After a few months of knowing each other, Chris Priestley and Mr. Thursday decided that it might be fun to throw some music together and have some fun with it as they were already spending an inordinate amount of time together. Ideas surfaced to write some metal covers of pop songs with the objective to rip some sets out locally and a select few songs were chosen and worked out on guitar. The songs formed really well but Chris has an undeniable hatred of doing covers and suggested that they just start writing their own songs. Thursday put together 2 songs fairly quickly with minimal help from Chris to get the structure sounding right. Lyrics were written by Thursday and the basic structures were formed. Chris had a fair collection of songs at the ready that he'd written up to 2 years previous and had Thursday look at them for ideas. 3 of these songs were chosen and worked out which gave Chris the inspiration to keep writing.
