"Dare to be True". Tom Emberly addresses life head-on, delving into the tough realities we all encounter and teaching life lessons through stories of personal experience. His style is described best as "cinematic electropop" with undertones of hip hop and rock. The epic and grandiose, pop-electronic soundscape provides listeners with surges of energy to overcome their problems, inviting listeners to also face their life head-on in a similar way. There is a lot to dive into in terms of lyrics too, describing personal stories with intimate perspective. These still leave a lot of room for people to think though, drawing significant inspiration from the likes of Tristam or EDEN. His musical "upbringing" was mostly during the electronic music wave that began with Skrillex. This is evident in his sound design as he attempts to bridge the divide between this culture and that of mainstream pop, similarly to artists like Porter Robinson, Lauv and Jeremy Zucker. Growing up half in Denmark and half in Australia has given Emberly with an increased cultural palette of perspective to draw from. Swapping between the two a few times throughout his upbringing has come with it's issues and some of these can be found lying in the background of the music. In other news his favourite television series is Severance, favourite sport soccer, favourite game The Witcher 3 (but apparently hasn't finished it yet because "it's too damn long") and "wants a tattoo someday probably". His top 5 rappers are Biggie, Pac, Kendrick, Andre 3000, Jay Z. "If you wanna argue that, I'll argue back".
