The Hombres formed in 2008 and have had many members. The current line up includes founding members Mike Mooney and Steve Lawrence. Martin Semmler sings on Can't Stop Working, before he left the band to pursue career opportunities in North Queensland. The band made the finals of ABC's Exhumed competition on Queensland's Sunshine Coast with the track Can't Stop Working, with the band finishing third on the performance night. Influenced by all good music, ToH are predominantly a rock band. With a couple of albums worth of originals, the songwriters Mike and Steve continue to add to their catalogue with songs "they want to hear and enjoy playing."
