Blending alt rap and R&B with thoughtful introspection and compelling lyricism, Trae Black’s melodies sit somewhere between vulnerability and vibe. Raised in Perth with roots in England and the Caribbean, he channels many influences including Outkast, Frank Ocean and Smino into a sound that’s fluid, distinct and ever-evolving. Now based in Melbourne, Trae continues to push boundaries, weaving personal narratives into genre-blending tracks and carving out a sound that’s uniquely his own.
