Formed in 2004. Trash Madonna are a 3 piece electro rock outfit hailing from Perth W.A. Described as a mix of Siouxsie & the Banshees, Sisters of Mercy, Cure and Peaches. Trash Madonna's sound consists of thick layers of synths and guitar, stripped back electro-beats and infectious melodies. After over a year of solid gigging around Perth's most prominent venues, TM retreated into the studio to record and produce their first EP titled 'OPEN'. Highly influenced by Pop Art and all facets of multimedia, Trash Madonna's music reflects on societies obsession with perfecting the female form as well as manufactured objects, 24-hour advertising and the urban sprawl. Trash Madonna are currently recording their second EP which delves more into 80's Electro-pop territory than before. TM also plan to do a mini-tour of Europe at the beginning of 2009.
