Tryst are Amanda Sandery and Neil Rainford. having performed around Adelaide since forming in 1996, Tryst describe their music as Pop/Rock. Three times finalist in the Festival of Original Music, run annually by the Songwriters, Composers and Lyricists Association (SCALA), the duo are ardent songwriters, passionate about their original music. Neil Rainford has been playing guitar for over 25 years. His influences include Peter Green, Eric Clapton, The Beatles, BB King, Pearl Jam, Radiohead and Ian Moss. Neil comes from a family of guitarists with a strong blues background. He enjoys alternative, pop and rock styles and has also studied slide guitar. Amanda Sandery has been singing for 15 years and studied under the tuition of Adelaide's Katrina Caton. Amanda cites her musical influences as including Missy Higgins, Pink, Diana Anaid, Angie Hart and Melissa Ethridge among many others. Favorite musical styles include pop and rock.
