Turtle Shells is a solo music project. I write, record and produce everything myself, mostly working from guitars and vocals and building the songs as I go. The songs are mostly about people, the things they tell themselves, and what happens when those stories fall apart. I'm influenced by alternative rock and bands like Silverchair and Radiohead, while also taking a lot from quieter acoustic songwriting. I like songs that leave some things unanswered and let the meaning change as you listen to them.
