Triumphing local pub shows. Stealing open mics. Weaving between band comp rounds. Uprooting community hall gigs. Taking every single opportunity to show off their sound for the love of music. UIS- the result of highschool mateship, mutual taste and a long-formed addiction to the sound of an elated audience. Formed in September of '05 at the request of a friend, the boys took up the task of entertaining a teen party, with no name and a handful of under-rehearsed covers. Out of highschool the band found a new determination and a growing list of solid originals, UIS became what it is today: a body built of Zach's cementing basslines, Milo's rhythm, and lochie's blistering lead, over beats kicked out by Landon and under the power that is front-man Dick's voice. Somewhere in the middle throw the catchy backing vocals of all the boys and you have an energetic and just-plain-fun show.
