Tracking across the UK, Germany and Australia, undermain have appeared in brass bands, punk thrash and assorted electronic outfits. Mixing electronic noise to acid house/deep house/lounge, the current project incorporates drums, synths, sequencers and samplers. Earlier projects with the Lords of Discipline and Bohemian Nightmare quartets, featuring Tim Triff on drums and Matt Black on a Strat copy, were received to acclaim. Their debut album 'Notes on Eating Bread' remains an underground punk-thrash classic. In the late 80s, undermain collaborated with the elektro/psychedelic trio of Jungle Junk, with vocalist Cathy Bogatec on bass, Matt Black on the Korg and other assorted crew. Their production of live stripped-down, raw elektro provided a 'unique perspective' on constructed sound.
