My name is Jordan Palamara, and in 2019 I explored a musical idea I'd be interested in exploring for a long time. I have a mild form of Tourette Syndrome, which shows itself in the form of tics and twitches that I feel the need to fulfil. Some of the notable ones involve inconsistent sniffing and breathing, making clicking noises with my throat, winking and wiping my fingers on my clothes, although there are a number of others that come and go over time. For this album I took the rhythms and patterns from a number of these tics, and turned them into twitchy guitar lines, stuttery drum machines and glitchy synthesizers. I wrote this album early-mid 2019, and recorded it in the second half of the year. 2019 was a stressful year for me, so my tics were pretty flared up anyway, which in a twisted way assisted the writing of the album.
