Take the aggression of metal, stitch on the groove of ‘living colour’, splice in the attitude of punk, inject in the ‘try anything’ attitude of ‘faith no more’, add the experimentation of ‘tool’, and tourniquet on the harmonies of ‘sevendust’ and then watch your monster grow…… UNSOUND began in 1998 with the release of the ‘Small Change’ E.P. It received airplay on Geelong community radio. In 1999 UNSOUND were invited to appear on their first compilation “muzik from the garage”, which was a compilation of Geelong bands. UNSOUND also played many gigs. In 2000 UNSOUND recorded their second E.P. “Adrenaline”: This achieved moderate recognition for the boys with ‘Adrenaline’ reaching No.3 on the Ozrock charts and ‘The Birds Don’t Sing’ breaking the top 20. UNSOUND also started making sales in America through an American website called cdbaby.
