Performing across Australia from 14 to producing for rappers at 16, Max Pasalic (Up Late) has an unreplicable incarnation story. He was introduced to hardcore at 11 through his local youth centre he developed his early vocal style and D.I.Y ethos. Discovering Soundcloud in the early 2010s he would submerge himself into rap and hip-hop production forming a relationship with LA’s underground cloud rap scene, producing for Bones and collaborating with Virus & The Antidote. By his 20’s he’d grown into a tour veteran, travelling the country 6+ times alongside emo rock juggernauts like The Story So Far & Silverstein. In 2020 Pasalic brought together his emo rock and rap production background under a new moniker, Up Late. Releasing debut EP STARS, Up Late was praised for his wide and varied vocal stylings. Counting nothing.nowhere and Void of Vision as early fans he would collaborate with the latter on their acclaimed Hyperdaze redux album before releasing his own TOTAL FUCKING DARKNESS EP.
