USB aka Cosmic Squirrel, is an exciting emerging talent from Northern New South Wales. USB; formerly know as Jake, discovered his love and passion for mixing, and different genres of trance at 13, when his older brother ‘handed down’ his first set of decks and a box of vinyl. Jake studied Electronic Music Production at SAE in Byron Bay, to refine his skills, and has since been producing his own take on trance, and djing at many local events. In 2009, he played to his first huge packed dance floor at Secret Session, and was hailed the “next big thing”. In October 2010, USB produced and released his debut self titled EP, in association with Bear Essential Promotions. Over the last 18months, Jake has continued to build his repertoire of ‘tunes’ and increased his following at live gigs, which include clubs in Brisbane and Byron Bay. At the ‘ripe old age’ of 17, USB is quickly becoming a force to reckon with in his chosen field of music.
