Val Ceruli is the solo project of teenage Australian singer-songwriter Val Evans. Based in Wollongong, with their tasteful guitar playing and playful, twinkling melodies, Val Ceruli combines folk, soul, rock and electronic influences into a musical profile not to be forgotten. Evans developed a love of folk (Elliott Smith, Sufjan Stevens) and rock (Nirvana, Pavement) in their early teenage years, and after experimenting with various cover bands, began releasing their own music in 2021. Described as ‘old-school pop delivered with a twinkling grin’, Val Ceruli secured a spot at Surflife Music Festival 2021, and has been in the studio since, working on larger releases. Hope yous like it !!
