Medallion Sounds continues its philosophy of bringing a discerning variety of sounds to the label with their latest signing, Vandemons. A collaboration between two artists living in the same world from two different countries - Australia and Singapore - Dee Norris and Vanessa Fernandez a.k.a. Vandetta first met in the Malaysian jungle where they spent 10 days jamming at the beginning of 2016. Over the course of a year the duo remotely refined their musical collaboration anchored around an experimentation in rhythm & melody. Thus the Self Titled EP was born.  Real world life had an influence on the world of Vandemons. A drummer/producer with hard-hitting releases was exploring polyrhythms in music while a soulful singer wrote rhymes about social issues, power and finding inner strength. Exploring the visual representation of two rebels battling using music in a way that’s both focused and instinctive or, “music as weaponry” as vocalist, Vandetta, describes it, is EP artwork
