Vanessa Lea & Road Train are an emerging folk/ roots/ indie act who have just completed their first CD at their home studio, "Hair of the dog", on the North Coast. This CD combines the talents of Vanessa Lea, with her amazing smooth- as- honey vocal sound and multi- instrumentalist, Roger Faynes, who have both had originals broadcast on various radio & TV programs such as triple j unearthed, rage, abc radio and "Hey Hey It's Saturday" to name a few. Roger has been a member of iconic Aussie bands such as "Masters Apprentices" and drummer, Pete McFarlane was a key member of "Finch" and "Swanee". In addition, all members of this outfit have been in great demand in various cover bands over the last 10 years.(see details on myspace site) Their latest Cd, "Walking Down a Gravel Road" is an easy- listening, laid- back, yet exciting take on the folk/roots genre, with some interesting instruments weaving in to create a "down-home" feel.
