I have been playing music as long as I remember. Well actually, it’s possible my first memory is non music related but music is up there, and that’s a catchier start to this so I’m going to roll with it. I had classical training in singing, piano and guitar, but that all gave way to my love of indie pop songs in high school. I taught myself how to play chords and, as all good musos do in high school, I started a band. What began as a duo turned into four piece called the Blue Finish, and we gigged around Perth for a few years before parting ways. I’m currently flying solo so until I find another group of like minded musicians I’m writing guitar and piano based songs with catchy, quirky pop melodies about the same old crap everyone else sings about…unrequited love, what to do on boring days, people who annoy you etc. Though I would like to hope that I convey deeper emotions than those songs that muse on the wonders of the female derriere.
