“Vincent's Chair are the real deal – wonderful musicians playing all-original, beautifully crafted songs” InDaily, Adelaide Vincent's Chair is an Australian contemporary acoustic group founded by singer-songwriter, Kathie Renner. The songs, by Renner – who cites Sting, Joni Mitchell and Paul Simon as her influences – have an eclectic sound that crosses all musical boundaries, and articulate enigmatic story-telling with a focus on honest musicianship. “It's all about the songs,” says Kathie. “I'm interested in all kinds of music, and as a composer I like to explore all the options; much like a painter has a palette of colours to choose from and a range of medium to paint in. The subject matter determines the style I write in. This is why you will hear plaintive folk songs, sophisticated jazz tunes, pop songs and latin-flavoured sounds in a Vincent's Chair set.” 2014 was an exciting year which saw the release of their latest CD, “The New Vibe” at the renowned Adelaide Festival
