Viscount Jack is an English born, US/Australian raised pop artist with an art rock twist. The name is derived from a hereditary title bestowed on his family 200 years ago. They never used it so he thought now’s a good time. He simply likes the name ‘Jack’. His work combines a love of music and dance with worldly subject matter expressed through extraordinary vocals. He’s lived and breathed pop music ever since he can remember. Even though a child of the 90’s he was drawn to the the artists of the 80’s and late 70’s, particularly the new wave and new romantics who he saw unashamedly celebrating a youthful exuberance the world had never seen. Viscount has been playing piano and guitar since the age of 7. He was never interested in learning to read music - just make it. His vocal heroes are Bono, Bowie, Tony Hadley, Paul Stanley and Robert Plant. His soon to be released EP ‘The surface of things’ will feature 4 original pieces and a Psychedelic Furs cover. His music is unashamed pop.
