Vision 6 is the sound of three musical Aussies lost in Japan. They formed in Kyoto in 2009 and spent three years escaping culture shock, English teaching and midlife crisis by locking themselves in the city's rehearsal studios and coming up with a suite of songs that combine folk roots, 60's pop and new wave. Together they blend a rhythmic mix of piano, bass and drums, allowing main song writer Ken Foster's offbeat lyrics and punchy melody lines to come to the fore. Vision 6 are Ken Foster- vocals, keyboards and harmonica, Miles Hitchcock-vocals,guitars and Alex Trouchet- drums percussion and backing vocals. Ken Foster is a veteran of the 'Brisband' circuit of the 1980's, and Miles of the equally fertile Perth indy-band scene of that decade, while Alex played drums, tabla and djembe on the overland routes that eventually deposited all three in Japan.
