Void Matter is a Metalcore band from Brisbane, formed in 2018. Blending soaring melodies with punishing rhythms, they draw inspiration from acts like Parkway Drive, Spirit Box, and Polaris to craft a sound that’s both heavy and emotive. They debuted with Triggered in 2018, quickly followed by the Running Blind EP in early 2019. The band developed their live presence while expanding their sound through energetic shows across the east coast. In 2021, they released Everything & Nothing, an EP that pushed their emotional and sonic boundaries even further. After releasing singles in 2022 and 2023, Void Matter unveiled Disintegrate, a powerful track marking a new chapter. With their next single Apathy set for release in November 2024, the band continues evolving—embracing heavier, more atmospheric sounds and refined songwriting. Partnering with Ionei Heckenberg of Ocean Sleeper, Void Matter is sharpening their identity while pushing the limits of modern metalcore.
