The pseudonym of Brisbane-based glitch trap and future bass musical artist William Phillips, Volontà holds duality of meaning in being both a literal name translation into Italian and a description of a conscious desire to achieve. Volontà began creating and producing his own music in his mid-teens, and in conjunction with his own music his young but promising career boasts of post-production work in film as well as collaborations with Indie artists. His solo work consists of many small projects under other aliases, with an anticipated single launch on the 5th July. Volontà describes a person's active, deliberate determination in the pursuit of their purpose, a noble word and sentiment that neatly captures his drive to make excellent art.
