Beneath the dreamy vocals, haunting guitar textures, and infectious beats, you may get the feeling there lies something dark and sinister about Wahoo Ghost. The Sydney band craft a captivating sound that’s undeniably their own; a sound which could best be described as psychedelic blues tinged indie rock. Sometimes it’s raw and gritty; sometimes floaty and atmospheric. Their songs range from anthemic to ambient and are interlaced with dark poetry, strong melodies and space. The band formed in July 2017 when the then solo singer/songwriter, Charli Rainford (vocals, guitar) and Rob Crow (guitar), discovered a mutual obsession for psychedelic and experimental music. The duo joined forces and spent a year together performing and honing their sound before declaring themselves Wahoo Ghost. The debut album The Eighth Door, released in March 2019, builds upon the momentum of their 2018 single Feline Desire. The raunchy retro opener, She Wolf has its own music video to boot
