Wajdi Cherif is a NY-based jazz pianist and composer whose work bridges the depth of post-bop with a contemporary, open multi-instrumental aesthetic. While his foundation is rooted in the traditions of B. Evans, K. Jarrett, or C. Corea, Wajdi’s work reflects an eclectic, modern evolution, integrating electric textures, horns, and global rhythms ranging from Brazilian to classical influences.
