WAXMAN has burst onto the local music scene with a tour de force sound that is as spine-tingling as it is unique. "Alternative Progressive Art Rock blanketed in darkness"... ... is just one of many attempts to describe the sound of WAXMAN thus far. Their fresh creativity, complex song structures and driving intensity proving difficult for critics to nail them towards one particular style or genre. The origins of WAXMAN remain somewhat mysterious with band members hailing from different parts of the globe. Rumours have surfaced that certain members met whilst detained by pirates off the eastern coast of Panama, (as referenced in the single, "How to Escape from Pirates"), only managing to keep their sanity through playing music from their own hand-made instruments during the ordeal.
