Waynewright is a three piece pop punk band from Perth Western Australia, formed in mid 2012 by Chris Tonkin, Callum Kemp and Nic Johnston. The formation of Waynewright came around when Chris emailed Nic and asked if he wanted to jam, they spoke about starting a band called Waynewright. The boys played their first show on the 6/7/2012 at The Swan Lounge and in the short space of 6 months went on to play several shows including putting on their own highly succsessful 'funraiser' and recording and releasing a three track demo 'live gnarly'. 2013 saw a year of change for Waynewright who went back into the rehearsal rooms with a fresh new outlook on their music and have since been working hard to write a more mature meaningful brand of punk impossible to pidgeonhole into one genre. With influences ranging from 90's pop punk all the way to modern day post hardcore and an impressive repertoire of meaningful yet catchy and melodic songs Waynewright is an up and coming band not to be missed!
