Self-managed/produced Sydney synth-poppers We Are The Brave have been garnering worldwide blog attention following the release of their single/video, Sparrow, and debut EP, Noctua in late 2013. Comprised of singer-songwriter/producer Jess Chalker and emerging producer/songwriter Ox Why, We Are The Brave's '80s/'90s-esque sound re-imagines influences from modern and classic songwriting, and has drawn comparisons to artists such as The Eurythmics, Tears for Fears, Haim and Bat For Lashes. Following recent premieres on Out.com, Thump/Vice and Earmilk for re-workings of Sparrow by internationally established DJs, We Are The Brave is set to release their follow-up single, Your Ghost on 1 July (with a video, shot by James Chappell, forthcoming). A second EP is due later in the year. www.triplejunearthed.com/wearethebrave www.facebook.com/wearethebravemusic www.twitter.com/wearethebrave_ www.soundcloud.com/wearethebrave www.wearethebrave.com
