When We Are The Emergency were deciding on a name, they had no idea just how much of an accurate prediction they were making. Fast forward 5 years and the six-piece Perth outfit have well and truly backed up their bold name by becoming one of the city’s finest bands, sharing the stage with scene-leaders Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Emery and Tonight Alive (to name a select few), as well as playing their own sell-out shows and even showcasing their diversity by headlining their own acoustic show. Since their inception, We Are The Emergency have been at the forefront of the nation’s ‘screamo’ movement, but after lineup changes in 2011 WATE now find themselves boasting a much more mature sound.
