Edit history

A shared love of music and creation led to song writing sessions between Rob Cottrell (Lead vocals/ Rhythm guitar) and Darren Wills (Lead Guitar) in the spring of 2008. Out of these sessions came the music that was to become the foundation of the band ‘We Gathered in Spring’. Brothers, Warren (Drums) and Ben (Bass Guitar) joined shortly after to round out the band’s sound. With the addition of these two talented and like-minded musicians, the bands true sound evolved, depicting the essence and feel of their music. With some basic demo’s down, a Battle of the Bands competition win through ‘MLG Presents’ and the immanent recording of their debut ep in 2010 W.G.I.S is ready to take their ‘new school’ rock to the people of Melbourne and beyond.
