If one were to trace the short history of We Would Sleep, they would find that the idea for the band began as a gentleman's agreement between Vocalist/Guitarist Franki Maglaras and drummer Eric Doty in late 2005. Eric agreed to perform an unspecified (non-sexual) favour for Franki, but only on the precursor that they would start a band together. It would take over 5 years for that agreement to come to fruition. In 2010, Franki and Eric began writing songs together. Eventually they recruited their old friend from high-school, the incredibly good-looking Daniel Russo, to be the second guitarist in the band. At the start, they would gather together in Franki's bedroom, playing acoustic guitars and writing songs. Frankly, none of the songs were that great and none of them have ever seen the light of day, but they were enough to get them excited about being in a band together.
