The name Wearing Rosco was born from a tale of false identity, of lies and of things that are temporarily fashionable. Rosco was an internet prophet, a fresh-faced youth of massive popularity but of little substance, and indeed absolutely no truth. The Brisbane based 5-piece (playing under a different name at the time) chose the name to highlight the relative ease with which fame and notoriety can be created out of thin air; to remind all that the moment is fickle, and not necessarily remembered. It was with this mentality that their music took a more determined and mature direction in 2007. While the focus of their earlier songs had been rudimentary punk-rock, they shifted away from this style after discovering the relevance of pop, as well as dance elements of music. The band set about the tricky task of blending these styles with their predisposed influences (AFI, Fall Out Boy) and eventually came out with a loose formula that has ever since served to yield songs that are all
