"A band, doing the things that bands do. The same, but better. We make the sounds we want to hear but can't. When our heroes died we were left with little choice but to take up the mantle for ourselves and be the change we wanted to see in the world. So here it is - words to live by and music to make us feel alive." Brisbane three-piece Weekend Alarms are pretty much what you’d get if Dream Theater fucked Propagandhi and had a band baby. A collaborative effort of prog rock, punk rock and good old-fashioned songwriting, Weekend Alarms' technical riffage is melded seamlessly with delectable vocal hooks, producing an overall sound that’s easy on the ear, though intensely interesting all at once.
