Wes. is a solo artist, multi-instrumentalist and producer based in Melbourne. His music is rooted in the sound of indie and electronic pop, going for a diverse and distinctive feel. His music is spontaneous and direct, with a strong focus on personal lyrics and melodies that are emotional and easy to relate to. Fans of artists such as Slyvan Esso, Jordan Rakei or Clairo would certainly connect with Wes. and his production-songwriting style. The artist’s most recent studio release, “Touchstone” is a great calling card, highlighting Wes.’s ability to combine detailed sonic aesthetics with some intriguing instrumental bits and powerful vocals. Wes. produces his music himself, and he also plays guitar, piano, drums and bass, enabling him to oversee different aspects of his songwriting and the quality of the performances on his recordings.

Wes has played piano since the age of 7, and flute since the age of 10. At age 14 he picked up the guitar and formed the awesome indie garage band "Anywhere But Here" whilst going to Tully State High School in 2000-2001, which unfortunately disbanded when everyone finished Year 12. He discovered he could sing when he went to audition for the orchestra for the Mount Isa production of "Grease" in 2006, and ended up being cast in a lead role. Wes is a member of the Isa Folk Club (The Music Shack) where he has been performing every now and again for the past year.
