Wesley Allen Hartley is a Texas native, living in Portland, Maine. With his groups, The Traveling Trees, Splendora Colt and Dead End Armory. His groups have cast a wide net in the sea of Americana, but are drawn together by the cogency of Hartley’s poignant lyrics delivered in his Texas drawl. Some call it ‘horse-shoegaze'. You can call it what you will.
