West Of The Sun are a Indie/Funk/Rock band that formed in early 2009 when a group of 4 young musicians that had been playing together for years decided to get serious and form a band. The line-up consists of Chris Bottomley (lead guitar, vocals), Jasper Bell (rhythm guitar, vocals), Toby Aan (bass, backing vocals) and Sam McGill Irving (drums). They have been playing heaps of shows lately at the Woden Youthie and now wish to start expanding to play more venues around the ACT to expand their fan base. Some bands they have played with include Pleased To Jive You, Adelle, Astrochem, Slovac, Turbulence and Soheyla. They recorded a 4 track demo cd in late 2009 which can be heard on the myspace.
