Whitehall Rec is Joel Baldwin. A 40 something London expat living in Sydney. A former DJ and promoter in London and a sound designer by trade. Or Euphoria EP is his debut release reflecting on half a lifetime of absorbing music from everywhere and the unreliable emotional memories attached. It sounds like nothing else. It’s not part of a scene, it’s not genre-based but at its essence, it’s electronic soul music. From a seemingly wise old head, there’s an innocence and rawness to the sound and composition.
