Why Wednesday formed in WA's capital, Perth, in August 2003. Trio Andy Smith (Vocals/guitar), John Geraghty (drums) and Burto (Guitar/Vocals) added bassist Paul Judge and soon made a sizable impact on the live rock scene, wowing pub crowds with their back to basics, no-nonsense, balls to the wall brand of hard rock. With a sound reminiscent of the great rock outfits of the '70's and 80's that have stood the test of time - but with a competitive edge all their own - mammoth anthems like 'Dragonfly', 'Blonde Zombie' and'Neighbours Nightmare' (to name but a few) serve as the template for which this band plans to continue attracting rock music lovers to each of their fiery, energetic gigs (events in themselves)... and that's no small feat. 2006 will see Why Wednesday record their debut 4 Track EP that will surely represent the vibe of their bludgeoning live shows while retaining their commercial sheen. With it they plan to land a record deal and continue their quest to rock their way
