In an era when pop acts like Imagine Dragons and Panic! at the Disco are lauded as the future of rock music, Wicked Things grabs listeners by the eardrums and reminds them what true rock ‘n’ roll sounds like. With upbeat tempos, exuberant vocals, and tasty licks inspired by the greats, a Wicked Things album would be right at home next to Aerosmith’s Toys in the Attic or Guns N’ Roses’ Appetite for Destruction. But don’t just call it a throwback—when asked to describe their music, Wicked Things simply refer to it as “big rock,” (as stated by David Lee Roth) a testament to the raw impact of their sound and its defiance of easy categorisation. One thing is certain, however—their creative yet catchy hooks will echo through your mind for days, and you’ll still be pressing Play for more.
