Wild Violet is a four piece original rock band. Based in Gladstone, Central Queensland, Australia. Our music is two part guitar driven rock with clean cruising to pushed vocal lines - Music that touches your heart and mind. Dave's lyrics are his experiences, lessons, dreams and sometimes just entertainment. Influenced by the music of Dan Coates, it's genuine and he will hold nothing back in delivering his story Dan is always doing something for the progression of WV, whether it be creating music, artwork or media. On stage Dan's precision, skills and feel with his chosen instrument will have your attention. Amber is a show on her own with impressive and interesting drum parts - be warned she will steal the show. Andrew is a guitarist turned bass player for WV, he is loving the bass and it shows when you see him perform - Often lost in the moment with a smile on his face. Wild Violet are a four-piece vintage rock band based in Melbourne, Victoria. We are all girls, and all Year 10 high school students. Our music is heavily influenced by bands like Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, The Runaways and early KISS. We also perform covers by artists including The Cult and Stonefield. We gather our inspiration for song-writing from our own experiences and the sometimes harsh reality of the society we live in. This gives us a real passion when expressing our own music live. When formed in 2011, we noticed we all had a talent at each instrument. We have each improved and matured hugely throughout our time together, gaining experience from performing gigs around our local area. Octavia, lead vocalist, has a real talent for singing and natural charm on stage. She really feels the music and gets engaged with the audience.
