Tony Lee and Wayne Gillespie are long term friends who have Tennis and music as a common bond and have recently collaborated to put their love of music in to practice. This is Tony's first written song of seven recently written lyrics so far and Wayne has written many before. Wayne and Tony both worked on re-writes before the present version was born. The melody for 'Why are we so blind?' was originally put together over a coffee and conversation and, yet another, life discussion in Wayne's lounge room. The song deals with the abuse and mismanagement of 'power' in our society by our politicians and world leaders. Both share a common care for the workings of the world and a willingness to question the direction that our world leaders have taken. Both have originally emerged from University backgrounds, Wayne working as a University Counsellor at UNSW and Tony, owning a well-known Tennis Coaching business in Sydney,after abandoning a career in teaching and other ventures, as well as
