Wingspan was formed early 2007 as a 5 peice metalcore/Rock Band from the sunshine coast Qld. In the space of 3 years the band has had great exposure supporting well known Aussie bands and international bands such as Blessed by a Broken Heart (CAN) and Shadows chasing Ghosts (UK). In early 2008 the boys released there first Ep titled Mosh & Roll. WingSpan formed in the summer of 2006/07. Originally starting out with Alex, Liam and Allan, we were ready to do something different, we had all been in other bands prior to this that were more a dance/indie genre and were looking at getting into something with a bit more oomph behind it. After we had written a few songs we were finding it very hard to put ourselves under 1 specific genre. We were soon to gain and loose a number of different band members and change our style over and over again. Now WingSpan has found their sound. We have just finished recording our first ever EP with Adam from Studio Anderz Debeerz down in Kallangur. We are receiving great comments from people who have heard our new material and we are currently working on our live show performance ready to get out and do heaps and heaps of shows. With each member of the band ready to make this their life, we (Alex, Liam, Allan, Jared and Damien) believe it is time to make it happen, with us all being 16 and 17,
