Wondurland is a solo artist, creating a narrative early on in the first steps of his career. He’s inspired by the 80s and cinema, and his biggest influences are from Lana Del Rey, The Weeknd, Michael Jackson, and Phil Collins. He aims for his audience to connect to the material, to tell their own story. Rather than being an entity attached to his music, he hopes this world of Wondurland is created by him and anyone who chooses to be a part of it. His debut single Esmeralda kicks off the 80s style in fashion, with rhythmic kick and snare, funk guitar reminiscing that of Prince, piercing synths with transcendent cello solos. With deep passion and remorse for actions of infidelity, this record places in the spot of what it’s like to make a decision, knowing well that he knows better. It’ll be interesting to see where his journey takes him, and where it’ll take the audience.
